Can We Include Annual Bonuses in Employee CTC? Seeking Advice on Salary Breakup

Yesterday, in a discussion with my manager, we decided to pay a bonus to our employees, which we were not paying earlier. The question arose whether we could show the bonus in the employee's CTC part (by including a remark that the bonus will be paid annually).

Please help me out with this. If yes, please advise me on how to incorporate the bonus part into the salary breakup. Also, could you please provide an appointment letter for reference.

If what you intend to give is a statutory bonus, its percentage depends on the performance of the establishment and the actual amount on the earnings of the employee in the accounting year. Therefore, you cannot specify any amount in the CTC as a bonus but only indicate the range of the probable percentage.

Why can we not show the bonus in the appointment letter even though we are paying it on a monthly basis?
