Seeking guidance from Senior HR Professionals in designing salary for company based out of Nepal

I have been offered a new job with a start-up retail company based in Kathmandu, Nepal. I will be joining the company in the first week of February and will be responsible for setting up the HR Department. I am reaching out to seek assistance from my fellow seniors at CiteHR as I have limited knowledge about Nepal, particularly regarding labor laws and designing compensation.

I would greatly appreciate guidance from any CiteHR friends or seniors who are familiar with Nepal's labor laws and compensation practices. Additionally, if anyone can recommend a reliable consultant or HR consulting firm to help me establish the HR department from scratch, it would be a tremendous help. I am also seeking suggestions for informative books or websites where I can educate myself on Nepal's labor laws, compensation systems, as well as tax calculations and deductions from salaries.

I am NK Sundaram, a retired HR professional from Bangalore, India. I worked for Larsen & Toubro for 33 years out of 47 years of industry experience.

Currently, my HR partner and I are in Doha, Qatar from January 3 for an HR auditing assignment, involving policies, procedures, and programs. We initially arrived in October for one week and are now here for one month. Our assignment is almost complete, and our client is a leading logistics firm in Doha.
