How many day we can take to revert against show cause notice sent by company?

Please clarify me that how many day we can take to revert against show cause notice sent by company?
Company gave show cause notice to my friend regarding false reporting of customer 5 months ago.?
What can be the best reply? Can company issue SCN on behalf of 5 months old reports.

SCN can be issued in this case.The SCN itself will tell you in how many days reply is expected to be furnished.

company issued him notice today and ask that you have to reply within next 2 working days otherwise we will resume that you accepted the charges
charges as under
1. you reported customer _________ in the month of July 2017
but we come to know that he was no available on july 2017.
2. you submitted the customer ________ as reported customer in the month of aug 2017
but we come to know he was out of station on that month.
so it is a serious matter of false reporting. You have reply for above SCN within next 2 working days

How did company know that customer was not available.Unless you give full facts and points no one can draft a reply for you.

Company can give SCN after detecting the lapse from an employee,be it five months old also.
It might have come late to the light of the Management.
Your friend's reply should be based on facts and all proofs substantiating the version should be provided.
Two days time is given by the employer means 48 hours, please ask your friend to gather all information and give a fitting reply,if he is not at fault. Or else let him admit the mistake.
