I am resigning from my job on 31.01.2018 as my firm is closing down. I am currently pregnant and in my third month. Will I get ESI benefits for maternity?

Conditions for Maternity Benefits through ESIC

Only two conditions need to be fulfilled for maternity benefits through ESIC:

1. You must have contributed to ESIC for at least 70 days in two consecutive contribution periods just before the expected date of confinement.

2. You must have contributed something during the respective contribution period of your benefit period in which your confinement period falls, just to determine the rate of benefit.

If your expected date of confinement is before June 30, 2018, log in to the ESIC IP portal to check your eligibility for maternity benefits. If the date is after 30/06, follow point number 1 or check on 01/07 through the IP portal for your eligibility.

Regards
