How Do I Verify Vendor Compliance for Employees Exempt from PF Contributions?

lalit_vilas
Happy New Year 2018 to all, I have a new responsibility to check the statutory compliance of our vendors. Some of them are not paying PF for workmen, stating that their salary exceeds the ceiling limit. So, now the question for me is how to verify it? What other documentation should I ask for to ensure my organization is compliant? If an organization does not wish to register for PF for those workmen whose salary exceeds the ceiling limit, what documents must it submit to the PF office to obtain this exemption?

What about ESI? Anybody entering your premises should be covered under ESI/WC Policy.

Lalit_Vilas, ask your vendors about the PF payment acknowledgment of their employees, such as ECR copies and TRRN slips for every month. Once they share these documents with you, you can then ask your Finance Team to release the payment to your vendors.

Ask for Form 11 for all the employees for whom PF has not been made or for whom it is non-mandatory.

@Prashant Ingale, ensure that every employee is covered in your workers' compensation policy. Employees' State Insurance (ESI) is applicable only for those who earn a salary of less than 21,000.

Ensure there is a single line break between paragraphs.

Hello All,

Could anyone suggest to me about any specific declaration used for the following scenarios:
1. Individuals who are joining a company but are not covered under the EPFO scheme and do not wish to enroll.
2. What are the other legal formats that a company should process when offering employment?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.
