In India, an employee working part-time in multiple establishments can be covered under ESI and EPF, even if contributions are made in the other establishment. However, there are specific conditions to consider:

1. ESI Coverage: If the part-time employee's total income from all employments is less than the ESI wage ceiling, which is currently Rs. 21,000 per month, then they are eligible for ESI coverage.

2. EPF Coverage: For EPF, if the employee is already a member of EPF in one establishment, they can still join EPF in the other establishment. The EPF contribution is calculated on a per-establishment basis.

3. Declaration: The employee needs to declare their existing coverage under ESI and EPF to the new employer. This ensures proper compliance and prevents duplication of contributions.

4. Employer Obligations: Both employers need to fulfill their respective ESI and EPF obligations based on the employee's earnings in their establishments.

5. Employee Rights: Being covered under ESI and EPF provides the employee with social security benefits and retirement savings, enhancing their financial well-being.

It is essential for both the employee and the employers to adhere to the regulations set forth by the ESI and EPF authorities to ensure compliance and avoid any legal implications.
