Dear Experts,

Please tell me if I need to apply for an EPF code/registration. Do I have to pay any fees to the department to obtain the EPF code?

Thank you.

Yes, you need to pay government fees to the Regional PF Commissioner's office to create a new PF code.

Dear Anamika & Mr. Prashant B Ingawale,

For EPF Registration/Obtaining Employer Code, no fees are payable. Rather, you have to upload the required documents pertaining to Employer registration depending upon the nature of the Constitution of the Company. Please log in to the portal and spend some time to make notes of the same to get more clarity.

No need to pay fees for registration. You need to upload the following documents on the PF website using the digital signature of an authorized person:

1. PAN card of the company & authorized person,
2. Address proof,
3. GST registration certificate,
4. Certificate of incorporation (if a company).

Sir,

I have already completed the formalities stipulated on the unified portal. Finally, I've received the user ID and password. However, I haven't received the EPF code yet or I'm unable to locate it. Please let me know how I can obtain the EPF code.

Thank you.

No fee is required for getting an EPF registration number. You can try online on the EPFO portal or utilize private agencies that assist in obtaining a new registration number for a fee. Alternatively, you can contact one of your nearest EPFO offices for help, but you must be proactive in seeking assistance.
