EPF advance withdraw - liability in pension ends?

rsdayma.dayma@gmail.com
Dear all,

If an employee withdraws an advance amount in EPF, is there any rule that after withdrawing the advance, his liability in pension ends? Please suggest.

Thanks,
Rajender (HR)

Dear Rajendra,

This is to inform you that there is no connectivity between pension eligibility and partial withdrawal. Even though an employee goes for partial withdrawal, he can only withdraw the amount from EPF and not from EPS.

In addition to what Mr. Manoj said, it is only an advance given out of PF fund for specified purposes but not the final settlement of the PF amount. So, an employee continues to be a member of the PF scheme and consequently of the Pension Scheme.
