Curious About the Factory Act Changes? Seeking Clarity on the 2015 Amendments and Their Impact on Industries

Is there really an amendment to the Factory Act and the new name of the same the Factory (Amended) Act, 2015? Do the changes in the said act apply to any industries? If anyone can provide details of the changed sections, then I can segregate the same. Please send from your end any data you have.

Dear Tridibesh,

So far as I know, there is a Factories (Maharashtra) Amendment Act of 2015. As the name suggests, this Act is applicable to the state of Maharashtra only.

Insofar as the Factories Act, 1948 is concerned, there is currently a Factories (Amendment) Bill, 2016 underway. I shall attempt to attach a copy of the bill soon.
