Struggling with Attendance Tracking Across Multiple States – Any Reliable Solutions?

Hi, I am Satya, Manager HR working for one of the MNC companies. We have more than 63 branches in different locations in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Gujarat. I am facing a lot of problems taking their attendance. We have installed Bio-Metric Machines, but our employees are tampering with the machines. Can anyone help me with this? Are there any other solutions or software available for this issue?

Hi Satya, why not try an attendance system on mobile that tags the employee's location, or perhaps the attendance software needs to be controlled from a central location? Change the password of the admin, establish strict guidelines for the IT team, and I am sure you can control this. Remove the RFID card and use only thumb impressions. Now, the issue you may face is employees coming with different excuses like "I hurt my finger" or "I had applied mehndi," etc. For this, you can have multiple fingers registered or request proof of the same on an incident basis.

Ask the regional HR to be a little more serious about the issue.

First, send an immediate circular to all branch offices regarding the importance of biometric machines and cases of alleged tampering. Then install CCTV near the machines to capture details of personnel using the machines or keep a guard in the area who can monitor the machines. The tendency of employees to tamper needs to be curbed on a priority basis. This tendency is dangerous and can reflect in other areas as well. A combination of technology and counseling to adopt the right methods is necessary.
