How Can Employers Correct Employee Names in the EPFO Database Online?

We are an employer, and some of our employees have the wrong name in the EPFO database. Could anyone please tell us the procedure for correcting names in the EPFO database? Is it possible to do this online on our end.

Now, online functionality is available on the unified EPF portal for correcting basic details of employees. Ask your employee to log in with the activated UAN at the unified member portal. From there, they can raise a request to modify their basic details such as name, date of birth, gender, etc., which should match the Aadhaar details. This request will then be forwarded to the employer for approval. After approval by the employer, it will be sent to the EPF field office where the desired details of the employee will be corrected.
