Struggling with PF Withdrawal Due to Wrong DOB and Unresponsive Company – What Should I Do?

I want to withdraw my last company PF. I received a PF number, and when I tried to activate the UAN number, I came to know they mentioned my DOB wrong. Now I have left the company, and when I am checking the PF passbook site, I can see that there have been no updates for the last 3 months. I have all the payslips that show deductions made in the name of PF. However, the company has not been responsive to my follow-up. Please let me know what to do?

Steps to Resolve PF Withdrawal Issue

Write a letter to the regional provident fund commissioner of your area stating your service details from the last company and the company details along with your PF number and UAN number. Although they may not act on your first letter, send a reminder after 15 days. It's better to write a registered letter to your previous employer followed by a reminder, and then you can initiate the first action as suggested. You will get your query resolved.

There might be a chance that they have initiated the change. Please check the matter with them or else take up the matter in writing with the previous employer as suggested by the senior, Harpreet, then at PF commissioner.
