Struggling with a 6-Year Delay in PF Withdrawal After My Father's Passing – What Should I Do?

mkt1
My father worked in the cinema theatre. He passed away in the year 2001. I submitted all documents related to PF withdrawal twice to Mr. Joshi A (PF consultant), who handles PF cases for all area theatres (cinema talkies). Joshi asked me to wait for a few days, but after waiting for 6 years with no help, I am seeking assistance. Please advise me on what steps I should take.

Thank you.

What PF records do you have?

Did your father pass away in 2001?

You are very patient - you waited for 6 years.

Go to the PF Office and speak directly to the concerned officials there.

It is no longer that difficult to get PF dues, but make sure to check all legal paperwork, including the nominee details.

Dear Angadi,

You should have contacted the employer, not the consultant. Nevertheless, it has been almost 16 years since the date of your father's death. Please peruse the form attached herewith and meet officials of the PF Office where PF contributions were remitted. You should have acted immediately. At least now, initiate action.

If no EPF officer cooperates, I will advise you. Please file a grievance against him.

My father passed away on 12.10.2016. The company's employer is not helping us to get my father's PF & Pension for my mother. I have been requesting them for the last year, but they always refuse without any obvious reason. I want to know if there is any way to get my father's PF & Pension for my mother. Please tell me the way...

Thank you,

I am sad to hear of the death and delays in PF. Please visit the PF office with full details and meet the concerned officials. How many years did your father work? Even if the company does not cooperate, work can be done directly by the EPF office.
