Post maternity leaves - leaves for one more month?

Hi Folks, Can anyone tell, if employee after availing Maternity leaves of 6 months wants leave for one more month, then according to law, what could be done.

If the employee could procure competent medical practitioner certificate for additional leave then you have to provide 01 month leave else No.

Reson she gave for extension is because of her baby is yet to be of 6 months so needed extension, in that case what we should be done.

Employer has prerogative to refuse such leave request.
