Resigned from Bank but Got Terminated for Notice Period – Is This Fair and How Can I Get My Relieving Letter?

Vaibhav pathak77
I was working with a reputed bank as a deputy manager. I had resigned from there through the system, but they have given me a termination letter for not serving a one-month notice period, even though I was ready to pay the recovery amount. I had worked there for 8 months. Now I just wanted to know, is it right? And now I want my relieving letter. What should I do?

Dear Vaibhav,

The bank must be a private sector bank that also came into existence during the era of LPG. What is pertinent is whether your resignation was accepted subject to the condition of actually serving the notice period of one month. If so, did you comply, or did you simply walk out under the impression that you could pay it later if demanded?

Anyway, the bank should not have simply terminated your services in violation of the contract of employment. Send a legal notice to the bank.
