How Can I Stop the Reduced ESIC Contribution Rate at My Workplace?

mohan550
I want to remove the reduced rate of contribution in my establishment for ESIC. What do I need to do for this?

Dear Mohan,

Can you please elaborate on your query? ESIC cannot be deducted from the salary if the salary is below the specified limit.

Thank you.

In my establishment, the contribution rate is currently set at 1% and 3%. I would like to increase it to 1.75% and 4.75%. How can I do this?

Dear Mohan,

Can you explain why you want to increase the contribution rate? While all benefits are the same with less contribution.

This is a government scheme to enhance and encourage establishments to cover all employees (under the prescribed limit) to receive medical benefits for themselves and their dependents as well.

Thanks and Regards

The reduced rate would be removed automatically after a few months. This facility is on a voluntary basis. Whoever applied, got the facility. No need to worry. In case you need to get rid of the reduced rate privilege, you have to approach the revenue branch officer of your concerned RO/SRO. Even an email to RO/SRO would do.
