Difference between bonus and PPPL (production, productivity and profitability linked incentive scheme)?

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BITWEEN BONUS ANS PPPL (production, productivity and profitability linked incentive scheme) ?
IS IT MANDATORY TO PAY BONUS BONUS IF EMPLOYEE IS PAID TO PPPL ? HOW BONUS IS ADJUSTED WITH PPPL ?

Bonus is statutory requirement which is mandatory to be paid by every profit making organisation. Where as PPPL is completely linked with production, prodctivity and profitability and considered as incentive to the employee which is been paid on monthly basis. Thus you cant club it together.
