Salary Breakup and Leave Policy Concerns
My salary breakup is: Basic 27,000, special allowance 2,850, HRA 8,100, conveyance 10,800, medical 2,083 (25,000 pa), LTA 2,250 (27,000 pa), ex-gratia 2,250 (27,000 pa), leave salary 4,667 (28 days).
They have given me a CTC of 7.2, but leave salary is also one of the components. If I take 28 days leave, I will not get 4,667 multiplied by 12, i.e., Rs. 56,000. This also means a 7.2 CTC with 0 paid leave. It seems unfair to not even have a single paid leave. On the surface, they show they are giving us 28 days leave, but they are also deducting the pay. How fair is this? How do I tackle it? What could be other alternatives? I am working with an NGO.
