Can an Employee Withdraw Their Previous PF Amount After Joining a New Company with the Same UAN?

Dear Sir,

I have a query regarding the withdrawal of PF amount. One employee resigned from one organization and joined another one. He created a new PF account in the new organization under the same UAN. Can he withdraw his previous PF amount (EPF + EPS)?

PF amount cannot be withdrawn while being in employment and while being an EPF member. Consequent to a change in employment, a new member ID is created. This cannot be the grounds for withdrawal. Please opt for online transfer. PF retirement fund.
