Worried About Termination After Resignation? What to Do If You Didn't Serve Full Notice

Hi, I was working with an Indian company. My notice period is one month. Due to some personal issues, I asked the managers to release me within 16 days, and for the remaining 14 days, I agreed to pay an amount from my salary. They insisted that I serve the full notice period, but I only served 16 days and then moved out of the company. I have collected documents such as resignation letters, proper handover proof, and handover proof of ID cards.

Please advise on what to do if they refuse to provide a relieving letter or terminate me after I have resigned.

However, if the management desires the employees to continue the employment during the notice period, the employee shall do so.

Once the company communicates to you through a document that your resignation has been received and accepted, the company cannot terminate you unless they come across strong evidence of gross integrity issues. However, if they act to satisfy their ego or perversion, it will have no effect. The only situation where you may be affected is if your antecedent verification is sent to them for background verification.
