How Can We Handle Delayed PF and ESIC Payments from Contractors in Navi Mumbai?

Hi all, we are a manufacturing company located in Navi Mumbai. We have a number of contractors engaged under CLA. A few of the contractors are delaying payments for statutory PF and ESIC for their workers, crossing the due date. We have calculated the liabilities of damage charges and penal interest under section 7Q & 14B of PF, and section 31A & 31C of the ESIC Act based on their PF/ESIC payment dates.

Please let me know if there is any provision to pay interest and damage charges online through the contractor's login.

No, contractors are independently covered. Each contractor has to wait for written communication quantifying interest and applicable damages by respective departments. The principal employer can only advise contractors to avoid belated remittance.
