Rejoined My Old Job: How Do I Merge or Claim My EPF Balances from Two Member IDs?

friend_srivastava
I had resigned from my organization, and I have settled my claim. After one year, I rejoined the same organization, and my EPF was again deducted on the previous member ID for 2 years. Then, I was allotted a new member ID. Please tell me how I can merge the old balance to the new ID or how I can claim the balance from the old member ID. My passbook is showing 2 member IDs and balances too.

Hi,

In the case of submission of EPF funds to an inactive account, your employer has to write a letter to the regional EPF office in your area to transfer the funds from the old account to your new account, mentioning the reasons for the same.

Online claim is for transferring funds from an active account to a new active account. This process needs to be done manually. Ask your employer to do so.

Once your PF amount is settled, then the same PF number can't be valid. You need to allot a new number only. In the case of UAN, the same number will continue.
