Confused About PF Form 5 and 10? Need Help Understanding Their Current Use and Replacements

Dear Sir/Madam,

Please find the enclosed PF Form 5 and PF Form 10. When applying for a PF Claim at the PF office, should PF Form 5 and PF Form 10 be enclosed with the claim form (Composite Claim Form (Non-Aadhar))? Are PF Form 5 and PF Form 10 currently in effect or have they been replaced by other forms? If yes, what are the new forms, and when are these two forms applicable?

Please clarify.

Dear Thirumurugan,

From March 2012, manual submission of PF Return was replaced by Online Filing of ECR. From December 2016, ECR Filing is based on UAN Number. Consequently, Form-5 Joining Details and Form-10 Leaving Details have become redundant.

For submitting PF Withdrawal, you only need to submit the documents mentioned in the instruction manual. Please log in to the EPF Portal to understand the changes implemented from March 2012.
