Dear sir,

Kindly confirm the registration to be maintained under the Maharashtra Labour Welfare Fund Act for the locations in Bombay and Pune.

Thank you.

Hi Senthil,

There is no specific register to be maintained separately for the Labour Welfare Fund. Just ensure that the employee deduction of LWF is reflecting in the salary sheets or register. Upon submission of the LWF contribution amount, you need to attach Form A-1 Cum Return (Wide Rule 3-A). A formatted copy is attached.

Recently, we received a notice from The Maharashtra Labour Welfare Board for the submission of Form C under Rule 21 of the Bombay Labour Welfare Fund Rule 1953. Therefore, we need to maintain the following data for each quarter:

1. Total realization under fines
2. Total amount becoming unpaid accumulations of:
i) Basic Wages
ii) Overtime
iii) Dearness allowance and other allowances

Under The Maharashtra Labour Welfare Fund Act 1953, wages include Bonus.
