Instead of hanging the fire cylinders using brackets on the wall, I wish to keep the cylinders in closed cabinets on the floor. Is there any legal law that says it could not be placed in a closed cabinet on the ground? Please help.
The purpose of fire extinguishers is to put out fires and should be easily reachable and visible to people. Keeping them in a closed cupboard defeats the purpose if immediate use is necessary. People will start searching first, and it can be harmful for all concerned. Basic common sense.
