How Do You Handle Pro Rata Deductions for Contractual Staff Allowances?

Dear Seniors,

Please explain whether we compute pro rata basis for conveyance and communication allowance when calculating fees for contractual staff. For example, their payout is divided into 3 parts:

1. Professional fee (comprising 95-97% of the pay)
2. Conveyance charge
3. Communication allowance

The conveyance charge and communication allowance together make up the remaining 3-4% of the pay. If a staff member is absent, are deductions made only from the professional fee or from all three components?
