I have a situation here. On the 10th of October, I attended an interview for an IR/HR executive position at a leading truck and bus company in Chennai. After four rounds of interviews, I was informed by an HR representative that I had been selected. We discussed the salary package and the joining date, which was finalized for after Diwali. I was told that the offer letter would be released soon. However, I have now been informed that the VP of HR is not satisfied with my undergraduate and 12th-grade marks and that they are searching for better candidates. If my 12th-grade marks were an issue, they should not have called me for the interview since it was clearly stated on my resume. Apparently, my resume appeared to be that of a strong candidate, as conveyed by the HR representative. I realize that the offer letter was not issued to me, but shouldn't there be some value to a verbal agreement? It was my mistake to have believed solely in words. Can you assist me in this situation?
