If the salary is paid by ESI then, the employer is not liable for PF contribution. And if the employees is not covered under ESI and employer is paying maternity leave then as per the other leave, the employer is liable to pay PF contribution.

1.A) If the salary is paid through ESI? - If salary is paid through EISC then employer need not to pay any PF contribution.
1.B) If the employee is not under ESI and the employer is paying the maternity benefits what will be the PF contribution?Does the employer have to contribute to PF during maternity leave period? - Yes, Employer has to pay the contribution as the employee is on maternity leave and you will be processing the salary. Contribution will be same as regular contribution.
