Dear All,

Some of my employees were sleeping at work. I want to issue a warning letter to them. Please help me by sharing a draft of the letter.

Before issuing a warning letter, please try to understand 'why they are sleeping at work':

1. What are they doing after working hours? Are they working somewhere else?
2. Are they experiencing low energy levels?
3. Is the nature of their work boring?
4. Is this behavior affecting the quality of their work?
5. Why are other employees allowing these individuals to sleep at work?
6. What is the supervisor's role in this situation? Is the supervisor also sleeping at work?
7. Do you believe that merely issuing a warning will deter them from sleeping?

Please ensure to address these questions and concerns before taking any disciplinary action.

Draft Warning Letter

To,

-----------------

You were found sleeping at (time) on xx/xx/xxxx (date) at the workplace and have thus neglected your duties. Sleeping while on duty endangers not only oneself but could also be a health hazard for others as well.

Sleeping while on duty and negligence of duties are misconducts under the Rules/Standing Orders, but a lenient view is taken this time. You are severely warned to be careful in the future, and any repetition of the act will be seriously dealt with.

The receipt of this memo shall be acknowledged.
