How Can I Draft a Policy to Ensure Timely Interviews and Avoid Candidate Frustration?

Dear Recruiters,

In my current company, the HODs do not take interviews on time, and they even delay them by 2-3 hours. Due to this, the candidates get frustrated, and it also gives a very bad impression of the company.

Kindly help me in drafting the policy or circular for adhering to the interview discipline.

Thank you,
Prasoon Singh

Dear Prasoon, why don't you go and speak to the HODs regarding the brand image of the company and the impression on candidates, which in turn shall serve your purpose? If you are an HR or recruiter, there is no harm in paying a visit to them and discussing your problems with them for solutions. Later, if things are still not under control, you can draft a circular to ensure adherence. Instead of a separate policy for interview discipline, you can frame a recruitment policy in general that can govern all the procedures.
