Retired Before Bonus Payout: Should Our Former Colleague Still Get It?

One of our colleagues retired in Sept 2017. The company paid a bonus to all employees on the rolls in Oct 2017. Is this retired colleague entitled to the bonus? The company is a private limited company in the service industry with a staff strength of 140.

If everyone is paid and he is left out, it has to be paid. As bonus paid in 2017 is for the period of 2016.

As our friend Mr. Prashant has raised the point of Basic+DA, are there any employees who are above 21,000 in Basic+DA and paid a bonus this year?

Yes, everyone is paid a bonus, and colleagues above the 21k bracket.
