Pradeep math
Hi ... I want to know clarification on ESI. If a person draws a gross salary of 20000 p/m. And in a particular month if he is absent for 5 days, at the end of the month his gross salary is 15000 , does he cover under ESI deduction? Please help me out.
Kind regards
Pradeep.

No. Current ESIC limit is Rs. 21000/-. If an employee covers in ESIC then irrespective of his absence ESIC is covered. ESIC exemption is only allowed in April-17 & Oct-17.
Thanks,
Vineet
