I wouldn't have believed you but, same case has occurred in our organization too. I am still wondering how this happened even the PF account of that employee is still active.

while filling withdrawal form, employee declaring that he retired, so he will get benefit. employer has to stop the contribution before that and do exit.

Ask the employee to withdraw the amount and convert his pay into consolidated pay without EPF contributions immediately.
