Am I Eligible for a 6-Month Bonus as a Government Employee? Let's Discuss!

Rajesh Lodhi
Hi, I have been working in the government department since 08/10/2016. According to the bonus order, a minimum of 6 months is compulsory by 31.3.2017. It is also mentioned that it will be rounded off to the nearest number of months and calculated on a pro-rata basis. To be eligible for this benefit, a minimum of 6 months is compulsory. Am I eligible to receive a 6-month bonus?

Hello, I am working with a public company governed by AMC (local government body), and we have hired staff on a contract for 3 years fixed. Is a bonus applicable to those contract staff? They are on a fixed pay of 40,000, and so we deduct only professional tax. Please reply.

Thank you.

As per the Bonus Act of 1965, in which month should the bonus amount be released to employees' accounts? Is there a fixed date for the release of the amount? Kindly provide a response from a senior. Thank you.
