Struggling to Claim PF Due to Aadhaar Gender Mismatch: How Can I Resolve This?

Idayaa
Hi, I resigned from my job in May 2017 and am currently running my business in my hometown. I want to claim my PF amount as I am in urgent need of money. My UAN is active, and my bank account number is linked to it. However, when I tried to link my Aadhaar with UAN via a CSC (Common Service Centre), it showed "Invalid Gender details for Aadhaar authentication." I believe this is because my gender is not updated in the member details on the UAN portal, where it shows as "Not Available." I checked with the PF office about this but did not receive a proper response. I also raised a PF grievance online, but there has been no reply.

Methods of Claiming PF Amount

I learned about two methods of claiming the PF amount: one via the Aadhaar form and another via the Non-Aadhaar form. If all details are seeded in UAN, we can use the Aadhaar form to claim the amount. Since my Aadhaar is not linked in UAN, I would like to proceed via the Non-Aadhaar form. Kindly let me know the procedures to be followed for this.

Please be informed that my employer has not cooperated in this matter. Hence, I require solutions for these issues from your side.

EPFO's New Online PF Claims Facility

EPFO has initiated the process to settle PF claims online without the need for employer intervention. A new facility has been launched in the employee's Member Interface of the Unified Portal, allowing employees/members to submit online claims using the Composite Claim Form (Aadhaar) to avail benefits under EPF (Form-19), Pension (Form-10C), and PF Part Withdrawals (Form-31).

For the online submission of a claim, members are required to complete e-KYC on the Unified Portal. This allows them to submit their claims online, which will be processed in the field office application software without routing through their employers. The facility is available only to PF members who have seeded their KYC (Aadhaar Number and Bank Details) against their UAN. These details must be verified digitally by the employer and from the UID database, and service details must be available on the Unified Portal.
