Getting Info of Accused person from an office

Hi Team,
I Just want to write a letter regarding criminal charge of a person, who has assault an escaped from the office.
How can i write a letter enquiringly legally about a person who assaulted another person.
Pls help me to draft a letter regarding getting info about a person who was charged.
