Do We Need to Pay PF for a Laborer Who Earned Rs. 2000 in a Month?

One of our laborers left on 04-09-17, and his total wages for the month were Rs. 2000/-. Do we need to pay PF for him? He is registered under CLR.

EPF contributions have to be remitted in respect of EPF Covered Employees until they are in employment. EPF contributions should be remitted until 04/09/2017. EPF contributions should be remitted not based on total wages but on basic=DA=VDA only.

What do you mean by "He is registered under CLR."? Please elaborate.

Once you have paid it, you have to continue paying it until the last working day of the employee, regardless of the amount.
