Can I Withdraw My PF from My Old Job After Switching Companies? Here's My Situation

ganapathisubramani
I recently moved from CompanyA to CompanyB two months ago. I did not inform my previous employer, CompanyA, that I wanted to withdraw my PF. After joining CompanyB, a new PF number was created, and I have not yet submitted the PF transfer request. I have only one UAN where both PF accounts are linked. The previous PF account shows details of the date of exit. Now, I want to withdraw my PF account from CompanyA. Am I eligible for the claim? If yes, is submitting the claim online acceptable?

Thank you, Gopi, for responding.
Won't there be any issue as I have new PF account from my Current employer?

Since you are working with another company, you cannot withdraw your previous EPF accumulations. After leaving the previous job, a two-month waiting period is required before a withdrawal is allowed.

Thank you. Just to confirm, I left my previous company on July 28th, 2017, and joined my current company on July 31st, 2017. Can I withdraw my previous PF now?

Note: I have a new PF account under the same UAN.

Sir,

As mentioned earlier, as long as you are employed, you cannot withdraw the previous balance, even if you have different EPF numbers, as both are linked to the UAN.
