Mistakenly Got an EPS Scheme Certificate Instead of Withdrawal – How Can I Fix This?

Hi, this is Ram. I received the EPF amount in full, but for EPS, I mistakenly received a scheme certificate as my company consultant ticked that. I have only 2 years of service with that organization. Currently, I am not working with any organization as I have started my own business. Please help me with how to withdraw the EPS amount.

Dear Ram, you can submit EPS Withdrawal Form-10C to your Previous Employer together with your Scheme Certificate surrendering the same.

Dear Sai, I had submitted a letter to the regional commission to withdraw the EPS amount, and I surrendered the scheme certificate along with the letter. They informed me that they would process it. I waited for up to 6 months and followed up with them regularly. They mentioned that they had received all approvals from the accounts department. However, later on, they informed me that the pension department did not agree to the withdrawal of EPS before the age of 58. I expressed my dissatisfaction with them and retrieved my scheme certificate. While the regional commissioner agreed to the withdrawal, the pension department did not. Please assist me in finding a resolution to this issue. Thank you.

You need to submit the EPS Withdrawal Form-10C to your Previous Employer along with your Scheme Certificate while surrendering the same and requesting the withdrawal of EPS Accumulation.
