Terminated and Only Offered Basic Pay: Can I Legally Demand Full Salary?

Prachim1308
Hi all,

My company has terminated me, and they are saying they will only pay the basic salary for this month. As per my knowledge, they are supposed to pay the whole month's salary and the basic salary for the next month. Can anyone suggest to me what is the correct action according to the law, and can I file a case in such a matter?

Termination Grounds

"Terminated" - on what grounds? Were you simply terminated as per the contract of employment, or was it on the grounds of misconduct, if any, without any procedural disciplinary action? Were you a probationer or a confirmed employee on the date of your termination?

Salary Expectations

How do you suppose that the employer has to pay the whole month's salary plus the basic of the next month? By "salary of this month," do you mean the salary due to you for the month you worked, or salary in lieu of notice, if any?

Without these relevant particulars, I think it is not possible to suggest any further action in this matter.
