Seeking Sample Disciplinary Letters: How Do You Standardize for White-Collar Misconduct?

Gaurav.Agarwal
Dear HR Team,

I am currently in the process of standardizing the disciplinary procedures and formats for white-collar employees. I kindly request senior colleagues to share sample standard formats (First Letter, 2nd Letter, 3rd Letter) for common misconducts.

Thank you in advance for your kind cooperation.

Regards,
Gaurav

Dear Guidance-Seeker,

Standardizing disciplinary action procedures and drafting/adopting the formats, etc., is in alignment with either the Shops & Establishments Act and Rules or the Industrial Establishments (Standing Orders) Act, as the case may be. Government establishments have their own rules, codes, etc.

Codification of rules

Codification (standardizing included) of rules regarding disciplinary action steps, incorporating acts of misconduct and proportionate punishment for proven misconduct, is a stupendous and vast work assignment project. It takes dedicated hours of workload, time span, attention, and discretion, and must be in accordance with the laws, case laws, and long-settled procedures laid down from time to time.

Collecting, collating, verifying, validating, and related work will prove to you that it is indeed a full-time commitment and establishment-centric/organization-centric. Generalization could be unhelpful.

Clarifications welcome.

Regards, Sharan
