Scammed by Fake Job Offer and Now Facing Threats – How Can I Protect Myself?

One day, a girl from Dice.com called me for a job at HCL as a Software Engineer. She said, "We have a connection with HCL, and we will get you a job through a hassle-free process." They called me around 11:45 am and asked me to pay Rs. 2000 to generate the test link (aptitude test). They told me that I had to pay before 12 pm because the test would start at 12 pm. I didn't have time to think, and I paid that amount.

Afterward, the phone number was continuously switched off, and on another phone number, they did not answer my calls. I messaged them, requesting them to return my money very politely initially, but they didn't even reply to my messages. Frustrated with this situation, I lost my composure and used some abusive language. Now, they are threatening me, saying that they will blacklist me, and I will never get a job in my life.

I'm scared now. Please help.

Is it not understandable that "Dice.com" is not a recruitment agency for employers? How can they blacklist you to prevent you from any future employment? Better leave it as it is.
