Hi Ria,

I strongly believe an IT Recruiter should have IT skills. It does not mean that IT Recruiters must have programming skills. They should have cursory knowledge in IT skills to shortlist prospective candidates.

IT recruitment is entirely based on your internet surfing skills in finding the appropriate candidate for your IT client's requirements. Mainly, we need to be up to date with the front-end and back-end tools and technologies in IT. Once you are familiar with the terminology, you can also shortlist profiles with 10+ years of experience.
