How to Rearrange Employees Across Locations Without Transfers? Seeking Compliance Advice

I am working with a small manufacturing company that has plants in multiple locations with different names. I need to rearrange my employees according to their respective working locations. How can I proceed with this? I am not considering the option of transfers. Is there any other alternative available? If I opt for the resignation and rejoining approach, what parameters or compliance procedures should I follow?

Dear Nilu Agrawal, your post suggests that your manufacturing company and the other units are separate legal entities, as indicated by the use of the word 'shuffle' instead of inter-unit transfer. Therefore, such 'shuffle' can be effected only with the willingness of the concerned employees, and that too, only upon their formal resignation. There cannot be any compulsion from your side.

Willingness for such sudden relocation depends on many factors like the nativity of the individuals, the distance of the new location, the cost of relocation, the availability of similar or better educational, medical, and social amenities, more monetary benefits, and better working conditions. Above all, consider the extra terminal benefits you offer on their resignation as per your request.
