We have some workmen who are paid on a monthly basis at a rate of 26/27 days and receive full month wages. In this regard, how do we calculate EPF NCP days?
NCP Days means - Loss of Pay or days for which salary was not earned. When you pay full salary, NCP will be 0 days. The number of days for which salary is deducted will be considered as NCP Days. NCP stands for Non-Contributory Pay Days.
If a worker's basic pay is Rs. 26,000 and his EPF deduction is Rs. 1,800 per month, but in a particular month he is absent for 2 days and his basic pay for that month is Rs. 24,000, the EPF contribution remains the same at Rs. 1,800. In this case, can I see the NCP (No Contribution Period) days? If so, how?
