Amendment to the Payment of Wages Act is to cover employees who are drawing wages upto 24,000 per month under this Act. No changes are required to be done in existing records. only Annual return to be submitted to the Dy Labour Commisioner will include more number of employees. For workers - any worker drawing wages upto 24000 per month can seek relief from the competent authority under this Act for non payment of wages, delayed payment of wages or for unauthorised deductions from his pay.
