Amendment to the Payment of Wages Act is to cover employees who are drawing wages up to ₹24,000 per month under this Act. No changes are required to be made in existing records. Only the annual return to be submitted to the Dy Labour Commissioner will include a larger number of employees.

For workers - any worker drawing wages up to ₹24,000 per month can seek relief from the competent authority under this Act for non-payment of wages, delayed payment of wages, or for unauthorized deductions from their pay.
