No Due Certificate when dues are still receivable?

I request the experts to clarify me the use of NO DUE CERTIFICATE. A company from Ahmedabad is asking me to sign a No Due Certificate where as they have not cleared my dues / receivables by me yet.

As simple as that. You do not sign No Due certificate if dues are not fully paid. When an employee is separating from the organisation, it is customary to settle all dues. There can be a mistake by anyone. Hence many follow the practice that organisation prepares the full and final dues sheet and asks the departing employee to sing in token of acceptance of the calculation. If employee finds that some dues are not paid, he/she can as well point that to employer and employer will rework the calculation. But in no case one can sign a paper to which he/she does not agree.

Ya my friend its of two types.
.1' dues to be paid by you to the company.
2.dues tobe paid by company to you.
1.generally no dues certificate given by employee self certification.saying that .no physical damage or any loss done to company by the employee himself..during his tenure of working as employee to thatcompany.
giving this certificate is no harm to employee..
2.No dues certificate issued by company management to his employee clearly says that nothing to pay as salary or other emoluments...The company management never asks signature of his employee..
i have some doubt onsome people asking these type of questions.
it is easily understandable to the employee himself or can be asked to the management about this...
no prob...but waste of precious time..sorry go ahead.pls.

You can sign no dues certificate but mention on it - advance acknowledgement subject clearance of dues.

The director is not transfering my receivables and says (in mail) that i have to furnish a NO DUES DECLARATION first. Is it legal??
I am at a loss
Please give a proper way to recover the receivables at earliest.

I have gone through the mails, I would like to mention that your communication to the Director sounds impolite. I have already advised that there is no harm in signing advance no dues receipt with a rider 'subject to payment of dues'.
If you withdraw PF, you have to give advance receipt. Even insurance claims receipts are signed in advance.
If they do not intend to pay they will not pay. But if they are committing to pay subject to signing the receipt so be it.
