How Can We Find an Old PF Number and Transfer Inactive Funds to a Current Account?

Hi, Dear all,

One of our employees was a member of EPF in 2008-09. Now, they want to transfer the PF amount to their present PF account. How can we search for the PF number and how can we transfer funds that are already inactive?

Please suggest.

Dear Sikander,

Online transfer won't be possible in this case. You can either go for the manual transfer process by submitting Form 13, or you can advise him to withdraw the older PF. To check his PF number, you can review older yearly returns or receipts, or check for previous annual statements that were previously provided in hard copy from the PF department.
