Hello, I am an HR personnel and I would like to know how to transfer EPF from one company to another.

1) What is the role of the previous company?
2) What is the role of the current company?

Is an exit process necessary for the previous company for online transfer?

Simply log in to the unified portal member portal. At the top right, you will find the transfer claim option. Fill in the details and select your present employer for verification. Once submitted, take a printout and submit it to your present employer with your signature. They will verify it with DSC, and EPFO will then process the claim.
