Do We Need Separate PF/ESIC Registration for Our Tirupur Branch Staff?

Dear All,

We are a garment factory located in Tirupur with its head office in Chennai. The PF/ESIC registration is currently for the head office only, not for the branch. Salaries for Tirupur staff are credited to the head office account, and deductions such as PF/ESIC are made from there. Do we need to register separately for the branch under PF/ESIC?

For PF, the same code will work. Are payrolls of both processes separate? In such a case, you have to fill data on your PF account.

For ESI, you may obtain a sub-code.

No need for that; it can be paid under the same account.

If branch offices are at different places, then ESI cannot be paid under the same code without obtaining a SubCode.

Dear Sir,

As we are in Tirupur, the ESIC address is in Chennai. Tirupur 2 is not available in the ESIC portal. What should we do? How can we have our staff treated at the Tirupur office?

Please provide me with information on which file (XLS or otherwise) should be uploaded for depositing ESI & PF contributions monthly, including all employee details. How are contributions allocated to employees' accounts? Your prompt response is appreciated.

If the area pin code is the same for the head office and branch office, there is no need for a subcode; otherwise, it is needed.
